Fremont Street Experience takes Las Vegas back 40 years this summer with the “Summer of ’69: Vegas or Bust” festival and concert series. The summer-long celebration of the year 1969 runs through Labor Day weekend.
“Vegas Groovy Cruise” drives into Fremont Street Experience Friday, June 5 until Sunday, June 7 and features classic cars plus muscle cars from 1969 on display. Rare Earth and Bill Haley’s Comets will both perform concerts on Saturday, June 6. In addition to major headlining entertainment, Fremont Street Experience will host the “Car Show & Shine,” inviting the public to cast ballots of their favorite cars on display as “Vegas Groovy Cruise” winners.

Friday, June 5
· 9 a.m.-5 p.m. – Car Show & Shine/Judging of vehicles (public ballot casting)
· 9:15, 10:15 and 11:15 p.m. – “Psychedelic Ride: A Hippie Bus Street Party” music, dance and aerial show, Main Street stage (between the Golden Gate and Vegas Club hotel-casinos)
Saturday, June 6
· 9 a.m.-5 p.m. – Car Show & Shine/Judging of vehicles (public ballot casting)
· 9 p.m. – John Van Hamersveld “Signs of Life” Viva Vision
· 9-11 p.m. – Rare Earth, 3rd Street Stage
· 9-11 p.m. – Bill Haley’s Comets, 1st Street Stage
· 9:15, 10:15 and 11:15 p.m. – “Psychedelic Ride: A Hippie Bus Street Party” music, dance and aerial show, Main Street stage (between the Golden Gate and Vegas Club hotel-casinos)
Sunday, June 7
· 8 a.m.-12 p.m. – Car Show & Shine
· 8 a.m.-10 a.m. – Judging of vehicles (public ballot casting)
· 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Prize drawings/awards presentation
