WHO: Toad the Wet Sprocket, an alternative rock band best known for their hits “All I Want” and “Walk on the Ocean.”

First formed in 1986 their mellow, melodic folk-pop sound made them one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the early 1990s. Though officially broken up since 1998, the foursome has worked together off and on over the years. In May of 2009 they played a four show mini-tour. Positive crowd response brought them together for a second 12-stop mini tour this summer.

WHAT: Voodoo Beach’s rockin’ summer concert series. The poolside shows take place one Thursday per month from through September. Free and open to the public, based on capacity, guests must be 18 and older with valid ID.

WHERE: VooDoo Beach at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino 3700 W. Flamingo Rd.

WHEN: Thursday, July 30 9 p.m., doors open at 7:30 p.m.
