The Stratosphere Hotel & Casino will host an array of weekend activities including an autograph session with NASCAR® Champion Bobby LaBonte on Friday, February 26, announced American Casino & Entertainment Properties officials.
 
The weekend events will kick off on Thursday, February 25, with a Dale Earnhardt Foundation Celebrity Poker Tournament in the Stratosphere Theater of the Stars Showroom at 4 p.m.  Kerry Earnhardt, eldest son of NASCAR racing legend and seven time champion Dale Earnhardt, will host the event.  Nationwide driver and TV personality Kenny Wallace will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.  Other drivers scheduled to appear are Casey Mears, Matt Crafton, Todd Bodine, Max Papis, Boris Said, Regan Smith, Aric Almirola, Eric McClure, Scott Lagasse Jr, Kirk Shelmerdine, Robert Richardson, Jr. and others.  A $150 entry fee into the tournament will be donated to the Foundation.  Space is limited to the first 70 entries to the event. A $30 donation at the door will allow spectators to view the tournament.  
 
On Friday, February 26 there will be an autograph session with NASCAR® Champion Bobby LaBonte from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the casino near the Race & Sportsbook. Wristbands will be issued at the Rudy’s, Inc. NASCAR® merchandise booth in the Casino on Friday, February 26 at noon. A total of 300 wristbands will be issued for the event.  Bobby LaBonte is the only driver to have ever won both the NASCAR® Sprint Cup Championship and NASCAR® Nationwide Series Championship in NASCAR® history.  He also won the IROC title in 2001.
 
Also on Friday, February 26 the public is invited to a Meet The Drivers Autograph Session at 9:00 p.m. with NASCAR® drivers Terry Cook, Mike Bliss, Morgan Shepard, Max Papis, Shelby Howard, Dave Blaney, Regan Smith, Scott Lagasse, Jr., Andy Ponstein, Danny Efland, Brian Kesolowski, Johnny Chapman, Dennis Setzer, Josh Wise and midget car drivers Shane Hmeil and Bobby East.  (No wristband required for this event.)

From February 22 through March 1, NASCAR® fans will have the opportunity to view the #13 GEICO Toyota Camry driven in the Sprint Cup Series, by Italian driver Max Papis near Roxy’s Diner.  The popular driver nicknamed “Mad Max” is one of the most versatile race drivers in the world, having run Formula One and Champ Car, is also a two time winner of the Rolex 24 race at Daytona.
 
The official licensed NASCAR® vendor is Rudy’s Inc. who will be selling merchandise in the Casino from Monday, February 22 through Monday, March 1.  Items available include die-cast cars, jackets, t-shirts, hats and other driver merchandise including items for NASCAR®’s newest driver Danica Patrick.
 
There will also be Coca-Cola Racing Simulators in front of the property, where NASCAR® fans can practice their racing skills, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 25 through Saturday, February 27.
