Texas Station Hotel and Casino and KKLZ 96.3 FM’s will partner up for the “KKLZ Cares Concert” with the band Firefall on Friday, November 21, 2008, at 8 p.m. Tickets are available by listening to KKLZ 96.3 FM and via donation of canned food items. Guests must be 21 years and older.

The band Firefall formed in 1974, signed with Atlantic records in 1975 and released its first album in 1976. This eponymous debut album featured the hit singles “Livin’ Ain’t Livin'” and “You Are the Woman.” The band has continued to release albums throughout the years, and earlier this year released the single “Walk More Softly.” This is Firefall’s first studio recording that features both the 2008 band, together for nearly 20 years, and many of the original 1976 Firefall members. This timely song connects with people young and old on musical and rhythmic levels, and in the simple truth of its message: treat all people with more respect and dignity, give more of yourself and take much better care of the world we live in.
