Station Casinos continues to entertain locals with a number of new weekly acts and shows at several of its properties in addition to its trademark bands that the city has grown to love.

 

Dr. Zhivegas brings its high-energy, Lenny Kravitz meets Earth, Wind & Fire sound to the Rocks Lounge on Fridays and Saturdays and to Ovation on Sundays. The Lon Bronson All-Star Band continues to rock audiences every Thursday at Ovation. Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station adds another night of laughter with an improv show and comedy jam on Sunday nights. Most shows are free or will be noted below if they have a minimal cover charge. Coming this month are:

 

Green Valley Ranch Hotel & Casino

Every Sunday:

    * Ovation – Beginning April 12, the high-energy cover band Dr. Zhivegas will rock the Ovation stage with its Dr. Z Rocks show. Doors open at 8 p.m. and guests must 21 years and older. On April 26, the beautiful Miss Hawaiian Tropics model will compete in the Hawaiian Tropics Model Search from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Dr. Zhivegas will perform immediately after the competition ends.

Every Tuesday

    * Quinn’s Irish Pub – Trivia night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.
    * Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Wednesday:

    * Ovation – Yellow Brick Road (YBR), the Las Vegas-based classic rock tribute band, takes the stage at 9 p.m. Unlike most tribute bands that generally pay homage to one artist only, YBR takes on the entire classic rock/pop spectrum. Guests must be 21 years and older.
    * Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Thursday:

    * Ovation – The Lon Bronson All-Star Band performs its high-energy rock from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. with its 14-piece band. This show is known for bringing in special guest artists, so be sure to stop by. Guests must be 21 years and older. On April 2, the Lon Bronson All-Star Band will not perform as the KWNR Guitar Pull will be taking place beginning at 7:30 p.m.
    * Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Michael Grimm on piano from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Every Friday:

    * Ovation – The Michael Grimm Band performs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Grimm performs his personal blend of music where a country boy melds soul and rock accompanied by his 12-piece band. The band will not perform on April 3 as Ovation is hosting a 3 Doors Down Concert pre-party from 4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. The band will also take April 24 off as the Hawaiian Tropics Model Search takes place that night. The beautiful Miss Hawaiian Tropics models will kick-off the three-day competition at 7 p.m.
    * Ovation – Steel Panther performing from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. This ’80s glam metal parody band demonstrates their spirit and love of everything rock ‘n’ roll with their colorful repartee, loud costumes and graphic body language. Guests must be 21 years and older.
    * Quinn’s Irish Pub – Darby O’Gill & The Little People take the stage from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Guests must be 21 years and older.
    * Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis – Peter Love on piano from 6:30 p.m. to midnight.

Every Saturday:

    * South Padre – Trumpeter and vocalist Skip Martin, formerly of Kool & the Gang and The Dazz Band, performs with his seven-piece band with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. From 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., the band plays jazz compilations followed by dance music from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Following this performance, Martin will be performing on Saturdays beginning April 18.

Every Friday:

    * A-Bar – Darrin Michaels plays jazz from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    * South Padre – Texas Blues Series from 9 p.m. to midnight featuring some of the country’s best blues musicians on a rotating schedule. The April schedule features: John Nemeth on April 3, Mike Zito on April 10, Curtis Salgado on April 17 and Dave Gross on April 24. Guests must be 21 years and older.

Every Saturday:

    * A-Bar – Darrin Michaels plays jazz from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
    * South Padre – On April 4 and 11, the Boogie Knights get patrons to shake your groove thing with doors at 9 p.m. Leading up to the show and between sets, a DJ spins crowd pleasing beats until 1 a.m. This show is 21 years and older and has a $5 cover charge.
