Back by popular demand, International master illusionist Jan Rouven will once again appear exclusively at Fremont Street Experience. Get ready to be shocked and amazed as “Jan Rouven Presents Death-Defying Illusions” puts on two free shows nightly Friday, Nov. 5 through Tuesday, Nov. 30. Performing on the 1st Street Stage seven days a week the show will start at 8 and 10 p.m.
Jan Rouven, a world-renowned artist coming directly from a successful engagement in Germany, will continue to feature his dangerous, spectacular and brilliant acts that create an intense atmosphere for audiences. Not for the faint of heart, Jan Rouven’s show features some of the world’s most dangerous and thrilling acts: an authentic propeller blade taken out of a industrial AC sucking him into the running rotor; a girl punched by metal spikes at break-neck speed; a volunteer from the audience playing Russian roulette with a sharp knife and the thrill rises even more when the illusionist nearly drowns cuffed and chained under water. The lure of danger and the penchant to create highly risky acts have earned him the moniker “The Man with Nine Lives.”
During the past 10 years of his career, Rouven has performed to audiences of up to 20,000 people, more than 3 million spectators have seen him live and approximately 55 million people have been able to view his TV appearances. He has been awarded some of the most important international awards of the entertainment industry such as the “Magician of the Year,” following magic greats David Copperfield and Siegfried & Roy; “Audience Award Monte Carlo Magic Stars” presented by Princess Stephanie of Monaco; and was elected “Entertainer of the Year” by more than 37,000 members of the biggest magic society worldwide, also a Guinness World Record.
