If you ever needed a good excuse to indulge, ENVY The Steakhouse Located in the Renaissance Hotel has the perfect way to put the calorie counting on hold. On national “Eat What You Want Day,” this May 11, ENVY The Steakhouse is introducing a new menu item that includes a dessert tasting and wine pairing to satiate any sweet tooth.
“On ‘Eat What You Want Day’ we are providing our guests with a unique way to celebrate a day dedicated to decadence and indulgence,” said Anett Mindermann, General Manager of ENVY The Steakhouse. “We are introducing four new tempting miniature desserts, each paired with a delicious wine.”
The four featured desserts and wine pairings cost $35 per person and include:
1. Crème Custard Tasting – four palette-pleasing samples of crème fraiche, chocolate, raspberry and saffron custard, paired with Jackson Trigg Ice “Vidal” Ice Wine from Niagara.
2. Meyer Lemon Mousse with Fresh Berries – a tempting lemon mousse, paired with a 2003 Kracher Cuvee Beerenauslese from Austria.
3. Chocolate S’more Cake – a delicious warm chocolate cake with marshmallow cream on a graham cracker square and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, paired with Dashe Late Harvest Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley.
4. Pineapple and Ginger Upside Down Cake – roasted pineapple sorbet, candied ginger and Meyer rum sauce, paired with Chateau Les Justise, Sauternes, France.
May 11, 2009 or National “Eat What You Want Day” will commence the sugar rush special. ENVY will be offering the delectable dessert tasting and wine pairing menu throughout the summer for those who seek a sweet reward.
