Free Marie Callender’s Strawberry Pie for Club Cortez Players – Saturday, August 3

El Cortez Hotel & Casino is serving free slices of fresh Marie Callender’s strawberry pie on Saturday, Aug. 3. Club Cortez members can enjoy free Marie Callender’s strawberry pie slices while they play slots and table games, and the complimentary pies will be served from noon to 6 p.m. Marie Callender’s is famous for their tasty selection of homemade pies, and the fresh strawberry with sweet, ripe strawberries tossed in a light glaze inside a freshly baked crust is a seasonal favorite.

Sessions Returns to the Fiesta Room – Friday, August 2

The El Cortez concert series, Sessions, makes its return to the Fiesta Room on Friday, August 2, as a part of the First Friday festivities in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. The concert series gathers up-and-coming artists performing original songs, as well as renditions of fan favorites on the Fiesta Room stage. Bands kick off the event at 9 p.m. Cost is $10 at the door.

Vegas StrEATs Festival – Saturday, August 10

El Cortez hosts the monthly Vegas StrEATs food-truck, arts and music festival on the Jackie Gaughan Parkway from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, August 10. Many of Las Vegas’ favorite food trucks participate in Vegas StrEATs each month along with local art and clothing vendors from across the city. Award-Winning Elvis Presley Tribute

John Brooks, an award-winning Elvis Presley tribute artist, continues his performance inside The Parlour every Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. throughout August.
