WHAT:   Bring the family to Henderson for a jolly good time at this year’s WinterFest celebrations. Guests will enjoy a winter wonderland of holiday activities including a parade, ice skating, snow play, and pony rides. Did we mention Santa Claus will be visiting from the North Pole?!

 

Admission for the WinterFest activities and entertainment is FREE.

6:00 p.m.  Mayor James B. Gibson kicks off WinterFest with the official tree lighting ceremony.

 

6:15 p.m.  Holiday Decorating Contest awards ceremony presented by the Commemorative Beautification Commission.

 

6:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.  Visits with Santa Claus, holiday entertainment, ice skating, snow play, pony rides, petting zoo and gingerbread house displays.

 

Saturday, December 13 – Henderson Events Plaza

 

10 a.m.  WinterFest Parade down Water Street featuring the theme “Toys on Parade.” Once again, the U.S. Marine Corps serves as the grand marshal.

 

10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Spectacular craft fair

 

10 a.m. – 8 p.m.  Visits with Santa Claus

 

11 a.m. – 7 p.m.  Ice skating, snow play, pony rides, petting zoo and gingerbread house displays.

 

11:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  Live entertainment

 

4:30 p.m. & 6:30 p.m.   Productions of the holiday classic, A Christmas Carol.
