Public Invited for First Opportunity to See This Year’s 2010 Miss America Contestants

The most talented, smart and beautiful women in the nation will arrive in Las Vegas for the 2010 Miss America pageant.  Returning to Theatre for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for its fifth consecutive year, their arrival kicks off a week of preliminary competitions (Interview, Lifestyle and Fitness, Talent and Evening Wear), culminating in a live telecast on TLC, Saturday, Jan. 30 at 5 p.m. (PST)/ 8 p.m. (EST).
With the return of Miss Puerto Rico after nearly 50 years, there will be 53 contestants competing this year.  Joining the contestants will be Sam Haskell, III, Chairman of the Board; Art McMaster, President and CEO, Miss America Organization; Marilyn Winn, President, Bally’s Las Vegas, Paris Las Vegas and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino; Bill Feather, President, Planet Hollywood Worldwide Resorts; Vince Alberta, VP of Public Affairs, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority; Rossi Ralenkotter, President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
