Here’s the upcoming lineup of comedians coming to the Bonkerz Comedy Club inside the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
June 4-6
The Irish Comedy Tour with Mick Lazinski
The Irish Comedy Tour takes the party atmosphere of a Dublin pub and combines it with the clever wit of three comedians whose ancestors hail from the Emerald Isle. Detroit native Derek Richards gets audiences howling at the tales about his mom’s dog, the holidays and dating a stripper. “Comedy Barbarian” Mike McCarthy’s no-holds-barred humor has landed him on Comedy Central and Showtime. Rounding out the trio is New Yorker Jim Paquette, who plays riotous original songs on his guitar that inspire audiences to join in on the fun.

Jack Mayberry with Brie Johnson
Jack Mayberry’s gift for comedy began at a young age and evolved into a comedic style ranging from jokes about his family to political ponderings. Mayberry is no stranger to television and has made more than 200 appearances on shows including A&E’s “Evening at the Improv,” Comedy Central’s “Comics Only,” Showtime’s “Comedy Club Network,” NBC’s “Hot Country Nights” and 28 appearances on “The Tonight Show.” He has also appeared on stage with Rodney Dangerfield, Paul Anka, Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno.

Pam Matteson with Kathleen Dunbar
Pam Matteson’s gift for mimicry and beautiful singing voice deliver a one-two punch of what is surely the largest and most entertaining list of song parodies with impressions in the business. She delivers finely-honed musical takes on such legends as Judy Garland and Goldie Hawn singing a duet, Cher’s aerobic tongue work-out (complete with a tongue-sized barbell) and Whitney Houston belting a lullaby to her baby. She’s been a huge hit with audiences on “The Tonight Show,” “An Evening at the Improv,” “Comic Strip Live,” “Sunday Comics” and “Pair of Jokers.”

Tim O’Rourke with Rob Sherwood
Tim O’Rourke, who played the role of the bartender on “The Drew Carey Show” for nine seasons, is not only a hilarious stand-up comedian but also a sensational writer. He is currently working as a writer for “Sponge Bob Square Pants” and “The Fairly Odd Parents” on Nickelodeon. He also does a regular voice on the hit television show “The Family Guy.”
July 2-4
Billy Gardell with Gooch
Billy Gardell is the kind of comedian who stays true to his middle class, blue collar background. He is regularly seen on the hit TV shows “My Name Is Earl” and “Chelsea Lately.” He has also appeared in numerous feature films including “Bad Santa,” “Avenging Angelo” and “You, Me and Dupree.” In 2006, he released his first comedy album, “Billy Gardell: Throwback” and continues to headline comedy clubs around the country in conjunction with his TV and film work.

Pedro Lima with Tom Murphy
Pedro Lima brings his life experiences to every show. This 6-foot-4-inch Hispanic comedian shares stories of his childhood and family life. Audiences never know what Lima will say as he says every thought that pops into his head. Lima has appeared on NBC’s “Stand-up for Diversity” and National Lampoon’s “Comedy Night School.”

Ian Gutoskie with Doug Starks
Ian Gutoskie’s comedic style gives audiences an exciting rendition of his life experiences and opinions. Thought of as a loveable giant, Gutoskie’s familiarity with getting older and skydiving, along with his perception of the ‘girl’s night out’ leaves audiences laughing and wanting more from this insane comic. He has appeared on networks such as FOX and CBS.

Tony Esposito with Mick Lazinski
Tony Esposito, otherwise known as “Big” Tony, is one of America’s true “heavyweight” comics. Esposito grew up with both Italian/American and Southern roots, which makes for some hysterical life experiences. His self-deprecating humor and his ability to work with any audience can entertain the rowdiest of crowds to the most faint of heart. Esposito stars in his own show, “Fantasia,” on Carnival Cruise Lines.

Ron Shock with Mickey Joseph
Ron Shock’s comedy career began at age 40 and he has become known to fans as the world’s greatest storyteller. He has appeared on numerous shows including “The Joan Rivers Show,” “Into the Night with Rick Dees,” “An Evening at the Improv,” “Comic Strip Live,” “All Stars,” “Caroline’s Comedy Hour,” “Redneck Comedy Roundup 1 and 2” and his own Showtime special “Bad Gig Blues.” He has also toured with comedic greats Bill Cosby, Sam Kinison, Buddy Hacket and Richard Pryor.
Shows are Thursdays at 8 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $29.95 each; Palace Station hotel guests and locals with a valid Nevada ID receive a $10 discount. On Sundays, there is an Improv show at 7 p.m. and a Comedy Jam at 9 p.m. Tickets for the Improv show are $29.95 each and $9.95 for locals with valid ID and the Comedy Jam is free. Doors open one hour before showtime and guests must be 21 years and older. Tickets can be purchased at any Station Casinos Reward Center, The Fiestas and The Galleria Mall or by calling (702) 547-5300.
