The El Cortez Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas is extending its $15 free dining credit promotion through the end of September for all active U.S. military personnel as further appreciation and support for the U.S. Armed Forces.  This promotion, which began in August, provides a $15 dining credit valid at The Flame Steakhouse and Cafe Cortez to anyone presenting a valid active military ID during August and September.

Individuals are limited to one dining credit per day and no minimum purchase is required.

The Flame Steakhouse now features Idaho trout flown in fresh weekly for the Friday and Saturday night dinner special. The Idaho trout is served Amandine style and is only $16.95.  The Flame Steakhouse also offers the finest prime rib with a variety of hand-cut steaks, chicken and fresh seafood entrees.  The steakhouse is open daily from 4 to 10 p.m.

Dinner specials at the Cafe Cortez include a prime rib dinner with soup or salad for $7.95 and a fajita dinner for $8.95.  Cafe Cortez is open 24 hours a day and features burgers, sandwiches, steaks and chicken.  Chinese specialties are cooked to order between 4 and 10 p.m. daily.

Fremont Street’s Plaza Hotel & Casino announced today that they have officially opened their latest addition to their expansive restaurant offerings – “Stuffed: The Buffet at the Plaza.” “Stuffed” is the property’s all-you-can-eat buffet reborn with a far greater variety and assortment of American and international menu selections including an all-new high-end dinner menu featuring a delectable schedule of various specialty nights seven days a week along with its new fitting name change. “Stuffed” serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily and an impressive champagne brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

“Our guests were asking for something new, different and better, so we have given them a great new, significantly upgraded buffet as well as the recently opened Omelet House Diner,” said Tony Bender, vice president of marketing for the Plaza.” “‘Stuffed’ will appeal to visitors seeking a return to the Las Vegas tradition of stuffing yourself with great food without breaking into your gambling budget,” added Bender.
