Tour The World Through A Pint Glass At McFadden’s “World Cup Party” On Saturday June 12

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino invites Las Vegas partygoers to set aside the soccer ball for a moment and take part in a liquor and beer-fueled world tour during its “World Cup Party” on Saturday, June 12.

There will be no need for extensive athletic training or soccer drills at this “World Cup,” though a few over-zealous hooligans are bound to show up as the rowdy Irish pub will transform into a United Nations-inspired drinking locale with non-stop specials on the best liquors and beers from around the world all night long. The “World Cup” contest will kick-off at midnight with contestants competing to throw back five different beers, each representative of a specific country, the fastest. The globe-trotting, beer-chugging champion will take home cash and prizes, courtesy of McFadden’s.

McFadden’s will provide a potent line-up of libations throughout the night, including: $3 you-call-it well cocktails, $3 Coors Lights and $5 you-call-it bomb shots, along with its standard Saturday night open bar special priced at $10 for ladies and $20 for guys from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m.

Sin City’s rowdiest party bar has hosted such celebrities as Steve-O, Vanilla Ice, a handful of Playboy Playmates and a variety of adult entertainers. McFadden’s presents nightly specials including: Laid Back Mondays, Ultimate Karaoke Tuesdays, Sexy Drunken Trivia Wednesdays, Summer School Thursdays, The Party Open Bar Saturdays and Sin Sundays. McFadden’s gorgeous Lucky Charms and jovial Ministers of Hospitality ensure everyone has fun, whether they’re there to watch the game, throw back a few drinks, play beer pong, or simply enjoy a bite to eat. Best known for its beers and libations, McFadden’s offers a full bar featuring dozens of favorite draught beers, 90-ounce fishbowl cocktails and frozen drinks.

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon is open from 4 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. until 4 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. until 2 a.m. on Sunday.  For more information, call 702.270.6200

Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book Hosts Viewing Party For 82nd Annual Acadamy Awards

Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book will host a viewing party for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 7 at 4:30 p.m. The event will be open to the public and attendees will have the opportunity to walk away with awards and prizes!

Johnny Avello, director of race and sports operations for Wynn Las Vegas, will host the event and challenge attendees with trivia, raffles and contests throughout the show. Prizes will include Le Rêve tickets, passes to The Buffet, gift cards and more.

This is Avello’s sixteenth year providing entertainment odds on the Academy Awards.

“The Best Picture category was expanded to 10 nominations this year but, in my opinion, this race will be decided among only two,” said Avello. “It’s very close as we head down the stretch between Avatar (even money) and The Hurt Locker (7 to 5). Strap on to your Toruk because this year’s show appears to be explosive.”

Avello is the resident odds maker for Wynn Las Vegas and Encore and sets sports and racing lines in conjunction with entertainment odds for the GRAMMY’s, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and numerous contests.
