Beginning August 22, Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel will feature “Classic Rock Saturdays” with Strange Brew, a high-powered band sure to get patrons up and dancing. Music begins at 9 p.m. and continues until 1 a.m. inside ONE SIX Sky Lounge on the sixteenth floor of Eastside Cannery. To quench your thirst, Eastside will also offer its very own “Strange Brew” inspired libation. Admission is free, so come down and “rock the top” with great music, fine food and drink, and the spectacular view of the Las Vegas skyline.

Strange Brew is a collection of seasoned rock musicians fused together to form a Classic Rock phenomenon which stands alone from the pack of classic rock bands that are performing today. Members have recorded and toured for many years with major rock acts and also possess full and impressive resumes of their own.
 
Lead vocalist Steve Austin Taylor has a very unique voice – a high first tenor that hardly needs a microphone. A renowned Classic Rock vocalist, he is a master of all rock styles and an intense performer. He has opened for the likes of Santana and Joe Cocker. Lead guitarist Johnny Roxx was born and raised in Southern California. Roxx has been featured in Guitar World Magazine and has performed and worked with Metallica, Black Sabbath and Warrant among many others. Dando performs as Strange Brew’s bass guitarist and also does vocals. He has performed in tours opening for Cheap Trick, April Wine and Molly Hatchet. On drums and vocals is John Freixas who has performed with Eddie Money, Alice Cooper Tears for Fears, Journey, Van Halen and Boston along with a long list of other rock greats. Brett Hansen brings talent to Strange Brew on keyboards, guitar, Classic synthesizer and through vocals. Brett has performed with REO Speedwagon, Judas Priest, Kansas and more.

Lou Ragland’s World Famous Ink Spots will take the stage at Marilyn’s Lounge inside the Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel on Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10, available for purchase at the front desk prior to the show.
 
The faces of The World Famous Ink Spots may be different, but the sound remains the same. Singing tunes “If I Didn’t Care,” “I Don’t Want To Set the World On Fire,” and “We Three,” Lou Ragland’s World Famous Ink Spots continue to delight audiences with timeless sounds that have made waves for generations. Throughout his career, singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer Lou Ragland has performed with a variety of groups including George Holmes’ Ink Spots, the Tredwell Drifters Show, Seven Miles High, Billy Ward and the Dominoes, Hot Chocolate and The Great Lakes Orchestra. The band also includes band members Eddie Coco, Bruce Anderson and Flery Burséy.

Highly acclaimed performer Jerry Presley will pay tribute to his cousin Elvis at Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel in Las Vegas Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 14 – 16. The Friday and Saturday performances will take place at 8 p.m. and the Sunday concert will take place at 4 p.m. inside Marilyn’s Lounge at Eastside Cannery Casino & Hotel. Admission is free.

Unlike the many acts paying tribute to the King, Jerry Presley can honestly call Elvis family. Aside from sharing the same last name, Jerry and Elvis had many similarities from having an identical twin to singing gospel music at their church. Having been 15 years younger than Elvis, Jerry and his twin brother Terry looked up to their legendary relative and had fond memories of visiting Elvis at his home and joining him at the movies. Performing for more than 36 years, Jerry first gained attention for his tribute to the King when he performed at his own theater, “The King’s Mansion” in Branson, Mo., where he impressed Elvis fans with his act. A singer in his own right, he has performed with many famous artists including Jackie Wilson, The Drifters, The Platters, The Coasters, Lou Rawls, Tanya Tucker, Barbara Mandrell, Billy Dean, George Jones, Tammy Wynette, and former members of The Stamps Quartet among many other famous entertainers.
