T&T Celebrates Dia de los Muertos With A Festive Brunch And Live Music on November 2, 2008

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

In celebration of the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, T&T (Tacos & Tequila) is hosting a festive brunch complete with drink specials, live music and a costume contest on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008 from 11-3 p.m. Guests can participate in the Day of the Dead costume contest for a $500 cash prize.

Similar to Halloween, Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday geared around the celebration of the dead and often includes feasting on sweet treats. In the spirit of this creepy celebration, T&T’s Executive Chef Saul Ortiz is cooking up a zesty Sunday brunch featuring an assortment of breakfast tacos, burritos and chilaquiles. The restaurant is also offering two-for-one Casarita drink specials to add to the holiday spirit. The signature margarita, the Casarita is mixed with Hornitos An(ejo Tequila, organic agave nectar, Grand Marnier and the delicious housemade margarita mix-squeezed daily from fresh limes-and topped off with a rim of the restaurant’s salt mixture.

Diners at the Dia de los Muertos party will also enjoy live Latin sounds from the band Mariachi Tapatio and rhythmic beats from DJ Ernan. Guests looking to add a little extra flavor to the party can dress up and participate in the Day of the Dead costume contest. The best costume will win a $500 cash prize. T&T will announce the winner at the end of brunch and will take photos to commemorate the contest. Participants do not need to be present to win, but must be 21 years of age or older to enter.

“T&T is the perfect place for a Dia de los Muertos party. The restaurant lends an authentic Mexican feel with its bold design elements decorated with dancing skeletons, delicious cuisine, and vast tequila assortment,” said Co-Owner Michael Frey.

Reservations are recommended for the Dia de los Muertos party and can be made by calling (702) 262-5225. Located above hotel registration at Luxor, T&T is open daily for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and offers late-night dining until 3 a.m.
