Local bands, organizations, groups, businesses and individuals are invited to register now to march in the upcoming WinterFest Parade in Henderson on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at 10 AM on Water St. Cash prizes totaling $2,000 will be awarded for entries in three different categories including Best Overall Theme, Best Costume and Best Group. It is FREE to participate.

The theme for this year’s holiday procession is “Toys on Parade.” The U.S. Marine Corps will serve as the honorary grand marshals for the second year in a row and will lead the parade down Water Street.

The Parade is just one aspect of the three day WinterFest holiday celebration. The city’s annual event also features other family-friendly activities including, ice skating, Santa Claus visits and “A Christmas Carol” production from December 11-13.
