The Stratosphere Casino Hotel And Tower To Offer Free Tower Admission To Mothers On Mothers’ Day 2009

The Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower will offer free admission to the Stratosphere Tower to mothers on Mothers’ Day, Sunday, May 10 with the purchase of one or more full price general admission tower tickets. The mothers and all accompanying guests will also receive free VIP entrance to the tower, bypassing the admission line. In addition, the Top of the World restaurant will provide all mothers dining on Mother’s Day with a complimentary glass of champagne and a rose.
 
At 1,149 feet, the Stratosphere Tower is the tallest free-standing observation tower in the United States, and the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. The Stratosphere Tower offers breathtaking, panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and the entire Las Vegas valley.
 
The Stratosphere Tower is known for the famous Top of the World revolving restaurant on the 106th floor and the beautiful Romance Lounge on the 107th floor. On Mother’s Day the Top of the World restaurant will be open for brunch from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 702-380-7711.
 
On the 108th floor is the Indoor Observation Deck and on the 109th floor is the Outdoor Observation Deck. For the adventurous, the tower is home to the world’s highest thrill rides: the Big Shot, X–Scream and Insanity.
 
Admission to the Stratosphere Tower is $14.95. Admission for Stratosphere hotel guests, seniors and Nevada residents with valid identification is $11. Children 4-12 years of age are $9.
 
Hours of operation are from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, Saturday and holidays.

Hash House A Go Go Honors Mothers With Its Farm-Fresh Brunch Specials On May 10 2009

The Hash House A Go Go will feature Mother’s Day specials ranging from $8.50 to $22.95 in addition to the mouthwatering regular menu items.

The specials include:

§ Roast Chicken Benny – a fresh split biscuit with spinach, mushrooms and house roasted chicken topped with scrambled eggs and trimmed with basil pesto cream, served with griddled mashed potatoes and fresh fruit.

§ Sally’s “Wild Child” Mushroom Hash – Portabello, shitake, enoki and oyster mushrooms, fresh shaved corn, asparagus, sundried tomato and queso fresco on crispy potatoes with eggs, fruit garnish and a buttermilk biscuit.

§ Fresh Raspberry and White Chocolate Pancake served with whipped cream.

§ Mama Margie’s Brunch Favorite – Mahi Mahi stuffed with shrimp and served on corn mashed potatoes, all topped with sundried tomato basil cream.

§ Stella’s Shrimp Quesadilla – Flour tortilla filled with scrambled eggs, sautéed shrimp, market tomato, brie cheese and griddled mash, all topped with basil pesto cream.

A special drink menu will also be available, including tasty treats such as blueberry margaritas, Gruet Rose sparkling wine and strawberry brambles, among others. Limited reservation times will be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. All other times will be first come, first served. Simon Restaurant At Palms Place Las Vegas Hosts Easter Egg Hunt And Brunch April 12 2009

Simon at Palms Place Hotel, the new restaurant from Kerry Simon, Elizabeth Blau and George Maloof. Rock-n-roll chef Kerry Simon adds his signature flair and humor to traditional brunch items, creating a menu that is both delicious and memorable.
 
Guests are invited to join Simon at Palms Place for a children’s Easter Egg hunt followed by a decadent Easter brunch. In addition to Simon’s regularly served brunch menu the Easter brunch will feature a leg of lamb carving station, Anson Mills graham pancakes served with blueberry compote and pure maple syrup, fried green tomatoes with Heritage pork breakfast sausage served with poached egg in tomato hollandaise and more.
 
The Sunday, April 12, 2009 Easter Egg hunt begins at 9:30 a.m. with brunch beginning promptly after.
 
Guests can sit in the main dining area with floor to ceiling views of the Palms Place pool, or poolside on the Simon patio, while they are attended to by pajama-clad waitstaff.
