Legends in Concert, the longest-running celebrity tribute show in the world, will celebrate 28 years of exciting crowds on the Las Vegas Strip on May 5. The show, which performs twice nightly, six nights per week in the Harrah’s Showroom at Harrah’s Las Vegas, will commemorate its anniversary by offering a special locals discount. Throughout the month of May, all Nevada residents are able to purchase a general admission ticket, regularly priced at $55.45, for only $28 (plus taxes and fees). Limit six tickets per order, and guests most show a valid Nevada ID at the box office.

“It has been our privilege and pleasure for the past 28 years to showcase such enormously talented tribute artists and to give the public a venue in which they could enjoy their favorite musical superstars,” said Brian Brigner, chief operating officer for On Stage Entertainment, Inc. which produces the show. “It’s been a long road to get to this moment, but it’s been a great ride and we could not have accomplished it without our loyal fans.”

Featuring live re-creations of superstars of yesterday and today, backed by a live rockin’ band and the Legends singers and dancers, Legends in Concert is a one-of-a-kind experience. The show features such gone-but-not-forgotten greats as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Liberace, Marilyn Monroe, Sammy Davis Jr. and many others. In late 1989, the show injected more pizzazz by also paying tribute to living superstars of the day with re-creations of Rod Stewart, Elton John, Steven Tyler, Stevie Wonder, Whoopi Goldberg, Cher, Madonna, and Britney Spears among others.

With an ever-changing line-up, elaborate theatrical sets and costumes, and a full array of incredible special effects, including three dimensional multimedia and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, Legends in Concert is truly a must-see show in Las Vegas for both visitors and locals.

Did you know that more than 250 donors are needed every day to meet the needs of hospital patients throughout Southern Nevada? As part of an incentive to encourage communities to donate and make a positive difference, CSI: The Experience is partnering with United Blood Services to host a blood drive Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at MGM Grand. All donors will receive a complimentary ticket to check out the intriguing and hands-on exhibit, CSI: The Experience between March 26 and April 9, 2011.

“We hope that this partnership will help encourage the community to donate,” says Jeff Pluth, General Manager of CSI: The Experience. “In return, donors will be given an opportunity to play the role of crime scene investigator as they crack the case in our fascinating and interactive exhibit.”

According to United Blood Services, over 200 pints of blood must be collected from donors each day to meet patient needs in Las Vegas alone.

Las Vegas Blood Collection Statistics:
* The national average for blood collection is 5%; Las Vegas average is 2.5%
* United Blood Services is the only blood collection organization in Las Vegas and serves more than 21 hospitals in Southern Nevada and Northern Arizona
* Less than 2% of the Las Vegas population gives blood on a regular basis, although it is estimated that 72% are eligible to donate
* Most donors can give up to six times a year, but 65% of existing donors give only once a year

Based on the hit CBS show, CSI: The Experience displays true-to-life mysteries inviting guests to crack the case in a thrilling and engaging environment. Through hands-on activities and using real equipment, patrons are given the tools to gather the evidence, investigate the scene and solve the crime. Spanning 12,000 square feet and featuring thousands of hand-made props, CSI: The Experience places guests in the role of crime scene investigator as they solve one of three intriguing crime scenes.

Let’s get ready to RHUMBAR! This football season, as the weather cools down RHUMBAR’s spacious outdoor patio heats up with football fever. Saturdays, Sundays and Monday nights, pigskin fans will enjoy football tailgating on the patio with an enticing roster of power plays, munchies and drink specials.

On Saturdays and Sundays, partygoers enjoy hours of football and all-day happy hour. As guests take in Vegas’ cool, outdoor whether, they’ll also get a kick out of RHUMBAR’s drink specials including the signature Hurricane Punch for $5, along with $5 bottles and $20 pitchers of Miller Lite.

On Monday nights, guests are invited to throw on their team’s favorite jersey and paint their team’s colors across their faces as they gather for the only pro football tailgate party outside on the Strip. After the last touchdown is scored, partygoers can stick around as RHUMBAR’s patio continues to heat up with “Pink Sugar Jam,” the liveliest way to enjoy the Strip on Monday nights. Featuring live rock mash-ups and acoustic accompaniments by talented guest musicians, revelers will enjoy stimulating cocktails while percussionist DJ Rodney tantalizes the ears with rock-inspired beats. Kicking off at 9:30 p.m., the weekly lineup will include a range of talented musicians from up and down the Strip.

All pigskin fans will receive complimentary cover during game time as they cheer on their favorite teams while catching all the action on one of RHUMBAR’s eight big screen televisions.

RHUMBAR is a highly-stylized cocktail and cigar lounge inspired by the cool mood of the Caribbean. The plush outdoor patio is reminiscent of a tropical retreat offering a picturesque location for guests to mingle, sip cocktails, and smoke cigars. Located near the main entrance of The Mirage, RHUMBAR is owned and operated by Drive This! Entertainment. The lounge and patio are open from 11 a.m. until midnight Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
