Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book Hosts Viewing Party For 82nd Annual Acadamy Awards

Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book will host a viewing party for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 7 at 4:30 p.m. The event will be open to the public and attendees will have the opportunity to walk away with awards and prizes!

Johnny Avello, director of race and sports operations for Wynn Las Vegas, will host the event and challenge attendees with trivia, raffles and contests throughout the show. Prizes will include Le Rêve tickets, passes to The Buffet, gift cards and more.

This is Avello’s sixteenth year providing entertainment odds on the Academy Awards.

“The Best Picture category was expanded to 10 nominations this year but, in my opinion, this race will be decided among only two,” said Avello. “It’s very close as we head down the stretch between Avatar (even money) and The Hurt Locker (7 to 5). Strap on to your Toruk because this year’s show appears to be explosive.”

Avello is the resident odds maker for Wynn Las Vegas and Encore and sets sports and racing lines in conjunction with entertainment odds for the GRAMMY’s, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and numerous contests.
