Eli Young Band
The Eli Young Band truly highlights youth and hard work. All the elements of passion, energy, and excitement are what the Eli Young Band showcase in their music. Band members Mike Eli on vocals, James Young on guitar, Jon Jones on bass, and Chris Thompson on the drums all make the unique modern country and solid roots-rock music. The Eli Young Band knows what it means to work hard having met in college it took eight years for them to climb the ladder of success in the country music industry. However, hard work pays off. “When it Rains”, their first single soon began climbing its way up the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart and became the longest running single on the country music chart. Soon after their album Jet Black and Jealous was released it made its way into the top 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart.

Randy Rogers Band
The Texas born and bred Randy Rogers Band have the reputation of road-warrior kings. They spent the earlier part of their career traveling to various bars and dives across the American West. Now they open for Willie Nelson and have even made appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Show with David Letterman. More recently two of their albums have made it into the Top 5 on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart. With two American Country Music awards nominations for best Vocal Group of the Year the Randy Rogers Band can say that hard work pays off. They promise fans that they won’t want to turn down their newest album Burning Day and guarantee audiences will be listening to it for weeks. With songs such as “Interstate” and “Steal You Away” the Randy Anderson Band is a guaranteed good time for everyone.

Jack Ingram
Jack Ingram the 2008 winner for the Academy of Country Music “Best New Male Vocalist” award has been praised by critics and fans for over a decade. He remains the front-runner of country music with his album Big Dreams and High Hopes that spawned the hit “Barefoot and Crazy.” In fact, the song “Barefoot and Crazy” quickly became the song of the summer. Jack Ingram has been slated to be the next Willie Nelson.

Stealing Angels
The ladies of Stealing Angels: Caroline Cutbirth, Jennifer Wayne, and Tayla Lynn may sound familiar, that is because these women are related to icons such as John Wayne, Loretta Lynn, and even Daniel Boone. Combining pop and country all of their voices are unique which makes them truly unforgettable. Stealing Angels is currently in the studio working on their debut album with award winning producer Paul Worley. Get ready for three heavenly country music ladies.

Kevin Fowler
Kevin Fowler describes his music as, “country with a bad attitude. It’s country with an edge. It’s just beer-drinkin’, hell-raisin’, good time music.” With ticket sales that rival many other top artists, audiences are promised to see a high energy and entertaining performance. With hits like “Cheaper to Keep Her” and “The Best Mistake I Ever Made” Fowler promises to keep audiences engaged and singing along. His latest single, “Pound Sign,” selected by his three girls, picks up right where his last album left off.

Trailer Choir
Trailer Choir is an experience you will never forget. From the group members to their hit singles it’s sure to be a good time. Lead singer Butter has “Holla!” in bold letters across his guitar, Crystal the harmony has a roaring voice, and Big Vinny who not only sings but dances belly first down to the ground, ensure that these band mates are truly unforgettable. “Rockin’ the Beer Gut” and “Rollin’ Through the Sunshine” are some of their catchy tunes that have made them extremely popular among country music fans. Trailer Choir was discovered by country music legend Toby Keith in 2007 and since then they have traveled with his national tour for three years.

Jason Jones
Jason Jones can best be described as a believer. He believes in life and love and incorporates them into his music. When he first signed with Warner Bros. Records he was paired with legendary producer and songwriter Brett Beavers who had expressed interest in him early on. In his debut album Jason Jones looked for inspiration from country legends George Strait and Garth Brooks. His debut album as Jason puts it is, “down to earth, honest, and upbeat.”

Brett Eldredge
From the moment his cousin asked him to sing on stage with him at the historic bluegrass venue, Station Inn, Brett Eldredge knew that he was born to have a career in country music. Eventually, his smoky baritone voice and superb song writing skills landed him a record deal with Atlantic Records. As a singer and songwriter he has written songs for country greats such as Bill Anderson and has even opened for Blake Shelton. With songs like “Raymond” he leaves his audiences with chills.

The Downtown Hoedown is produced by Fremont Street Experience in conjunction with Las Vegas Events and Romeo Entertainment. About the Taylor Barton Foundation

The Taylor Barton Foundation mission is to prevent bullying in America’s middle schools and high schools with education, “Challenge Day” strategies and technology. As a young kid and like many youth today, Barton suffered the ugly wrath of bullying. Fortunately, Barton had a strong family support system and the mentors to rely on for guidance. Most kids today have neither and thus fall prey to bullies, causing what we have seen to be deadly consequences. The Taylor Barton Foundation will provide a positive solution with positive results utilizing the same technology, which has fueled bullying in the realm of social media & text messaging. Stay tuned for Taylor Barton Foundation’s first mission, Operation Text It Forward, which will utilize texting and social media to reach youth and encourage them to spread positive messages.

Country Rocker Jason Meadows To Perform Free In The Lounge At The Palms Casino Resort During NFR

Artist: Jason Meadows

Dates/Times:

Wednesday, Dec. 8 – 10 p.m.

Thursday, Dec. 9 – 10 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 10 – Midnight

Saturday, Dec. 11 – Midnight

Cost: FREE

Description: Former “Nashville Star” contestant Jason Meadows’ recent album 100 Percent Cowboy is a perfect description of Meadows: a straight-shooting, no-nonsense, what-you-see-is-what-you-get kind of guy who was raised on hard work, fresh air, sunshine and plenty of dust on his boots.

After becoming the lead singer of the Rowdy Country Band when he was just 16 years old, Meadows later joined another band, Heart Talk, and began playing regionally all around the Southwest. He began receiving encouragement from all sides to make the move to Nashville but when a famous fellow Oklahoman, Reba McEntire, gave him the thumbs up, he finally received the push he needed to move to Music City.

A few years after moving to Nashville, Sony heard Meadows and the label approached him about auditioning for the television talent competition “Nashville Star.” Meadows auditioned and appeared on the third season of the show and built a great fan following, although he didn’t win first place. After some time with another project, he returned to the studio to record his new project.

These special performances coincide with the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo which takes place from Dec. 2 – 11, 2010. NFR is in its 52nd year of bringing a little bit of country to Sin City and is a chance for fans to get in on the action of the rodeo, as well as attend events such as concerts, comedic performances, autograph sessions and more.
