UFL team kicks off season with cheerleading team and specials at The Palazzo’s hip eatery

WHO:
FIRST Food & Bar, Chef Sam DeMarco and UFL’s Las Vegas Locomotives cheerleading team

WHAT:
FIRST gets loco with The Locomotives! FIRST Food & Bar inside The Shoppes at The Palazzo has teamed up with UFL team the Las Vegas Locomotives for the ultimate season kick–off party.

The restaurant and bar will be decked out in the Loco’s team colors and Chef Sam DeMarco will feature specially priced food and drink specials for the night that are football and train themed. Guests can take advantage of the world–famous FIRST Photo Booth which will be free for the night for fans and guests to take a photo with their favorite Locomotives’ cheerleader.

The evening is a kick–off to football season and will also mark the start of FIRST’s Monday Night Football specials as well as specials that will run for Las Vegas Locomotive games including half priced wings, pizzas and mini burgers.

Raffles will be held with prizes including dinner at FIRST and Loco’s tickets and other swag.

In honor of Mexican Independence Day on September 16, Fusion Mixology Bar at The Palazzo is offering Ambhar tequila drink specials throughout September. 2010 marks the bicentennial year of Mexico’s independence and the Latin-inspired Fusion bar featuring spectacular hand-crafted cocktails with ingredients from Mexico is the best place on the Strip to celebrate. Trained mixologists use fresh fruits and the muddling technique of grinding sugar and fresh limes and lemons to create one-of-a-kind libations.

During September, the mixologists will create a special drink called “El Grito de la Independencia,” after the famous battle cry of the Mexican War of Independence. Consisting of Ambhar tequila, strawberries, lime juice, rock candy syrup and basil leaves, and topped with lemoncello foam, guests will be shouting “Viva Mexico!” after sipping this delicious drink. Fusion will also offer shots of Ambhar tequila for $7.

Fusion is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week on the casino floor near Dos Caminos.

WHAT: Murphy’s Law Bar & Grill will host a full day of festivities to celebrate the mark of Sept. 17 as Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day.

Why wait to celebrate like the Irish? In the tradition of a St. Patrick’s Day festival, Murphy’s Law announces its inaugural Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day party. The tavern will offer specials throughout the day including $2 green beer and $4 Clover Bend Over, the tavern’s popular green specialty drink. The tavern will also be selling $5 corned beef sandwiches and chips as well as $5 Irish potato nachos. Guests are encouraged to wear green and those who purchase a Murphy’s Law tank or t-shirt will receive a free green beer.

Irish festivities would not be complete without Jameson Irish Whiskey and the tavern will be doing a raffle drawing for a ten-speed, forest green mountain bike, complete with a Jameson logo. The drawing will take place at 9 p.m. Guests can receive raffle tickets up until the time of the drawing by purchasing the three-shot Jameson Sampler for $25 and other Jameson drink specials. Live music will be provided by Tamai Remains as well as by DJ/KJ Wes.
