Station Casinos’ December House Entertainment Ends The Year With A Bang
Station Casinos continues to entertain locals with a number of new weekly acts and shows at several of its properties in addition to its trademark bands that the city has grown to love.
DJ JD Live, dance music producer and video DJ, is taking over Rocks Lounge in place of DrZhivegas and will be spinning the best in top 40, mash-ups, flashbacks, rock and oldskool on Friday and Saturday nights. There are also tons of great entertainment options for New Year’s Eve including performances by the Paradiso Girls, Yellow Brick Road and Sin City Sinners, among others. Most shows are free or will be noted below if they have a minimal cover charge. Coming this month are:

Ovation – Monday Night Football with doors at 5 p.m.

Quinn’s Irish Pub – Trivia night from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Tuesday, Dec. 8:
Ovation – Christian artist Drew Bodine’s CD release concert kicks off at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 including admission and a copy of his new album, Everything is Yours. All proceeds go to support the ministries of Central Christian Church, Las Vegas. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Ovation – Start the weekend early with a different band each week from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. The December schedule features: funky rock with The Lon Bronson All-Star Band on Dec. 10 and oldies with Echoes of the ’60s on Dec. 17. Ovation will be dark on Dec. 24. Guests must be 21 years or older.

New Year’s Eve – Thursday, Dec. 31:
Ovation – Michael Grimm Band performs from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Grimm performs his personal blend of music where a country boy melds soul and rock accompanied by his 12-piece band.
Quinn’s Irish Pub – Royal Purple Rockers perform from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. followed by Darby O’Gill & The Little People from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. Guests must be 21 years or older.
Ovation – Sin City Sinners rock into the New Year with special guest Dizzy Reed of Guns N’ Roses from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m. The event is hosted by Vinny Paul of Pantera and Brandi M. from “Rock of Love” and “Charm School.” Tickets are $29.95 plus tax and fees in advance and $34.95 plus tax and fees at the door. Guests must be 21 years or older.
Every Friday:
Ovation – Steel Panther performs with doors at 11 p.m. This ’80s glam metal parody band demonstrates their spirit and love of everything rock ‘n’ roll with their colorful repartee, loud costumes and graphic body language. Guests must be 21 years or older.

Each week the band brings in celebrity guests to perform with them and have been joined in the past by members of Guns N’ Roses, The Dead Kennedy’s, Dokken, Quiet Riot and Aerosmith, to name a few. The December schedule features: Drum legend Carmine Appice who’s worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Rod Stewart and Blue Murder on Dec. 12; Blas Elias of Slaughter on Dec. 19; and TBA on Dec. 26.
