Jerry’s Nugget Casino Hosts The 2009 Breeders’ Cup Handicapping Contest

All the action of the 2009 Breeders’ Cup World Championships can be found in Las Vegas at Jerry’s Nugget Casino on Saturday, November 7th when thoroughbred racing’s international celebration convenes in Santa Anita, Calif. All the race and sports action will be available on Jerry’s Nugget’s five giant screen TV’s and 20 plasma screens.

The Breeders’ Cup Handicapping Contest at Jerry’s Nugget is only $10 to enter, with up to three entries, with a guaranteed payout of $500 cash. Those who place a $10 minimum wager on any Breeder’s Cup Race get a special edition officially licensed souvenir glass and those who play the Jerry’s Nugget exclusive horse racing matchup parlay card will receive a Jerry’s Nugget deluxe polo shirt with a $25 minimum wager.

Free Station Casinos November 2009 House Entertainment

Station Casinos continues to entertain Las Vegas locals with a number of new weekly acts and shows at several of its properties in addition to its trademark entertainment that the city has grown to love.

New shows include southern rockers Nawgahyde performing hits from bands like ZZ Top, Grand Funk Railroad and Blue Oyster Cult every Saturday at Sunset Station. Echoes of the ’60s join the Thursday lineup at Green Valley Ranch, while Rat Pack Fridays takes over at Texas Station. Michael Grimm is no longer performing at Ovation, but guests can still enjoy his music while dining and drinking at Hank’s Fine Steaks & Martinis. Primm Valley Casino Resorts Offers Free Entry To KC And The Sunshine Band To Guests Dressed In Disco Themes Costumes On Oct. 31

Primm Valley Casino Resorts welcomes the popular ’80s soul sounds and funky lyrics of KC and the Sunshine Band 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31. Guests dressed to impress in their disco themed attire will receive free entry to the concert.

Celebrating more than 30 years as disco icons, KC  and the Sunshine Band will take the stage with its soul, funk and disco sounds including “That’s the Way (I Like It),” “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty,” “I’m Your Boogie Man,” “Get Down Tonight” and “Give It Up.”

With the release of the self-titled triple platinum second album KC and the Sunshine Band in 1975 came the group’s first major U.S. hit, “Get Down Tonight.” The song topped the R&B chart in April and the Billboard Hot 100 in August. “That’s the Way (I Like It)” also became a number one hit in 1975. The 1976 album Part 3 yielded two number one singles: “I’m Your Boogie Man,” “(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty” and “Keep It Comin’ Love” peaked at number two. The band’s chart topping hit “Please Don’t Go” released in December 1979, hitting number one for one week in January 1980 and became the first number one hit of the 1980s.

 

All concerts and sporting events are in the Star of the Desert Arena at Buffalo Bill’s Resort & Casino. Tickets to KC & The Sunshine Band are $32.50. Those dressed in disco costumes can redeem their free tickets by visiting the costume table located outside the Buffalo Bill’s box office from 6 – 7 p.m. Restrictions may apply and no masks or fake weapons are permitted. What:
Hash House A Go Go hosts a Halloween-themed party with Bloody Marys, breakfast specials, a costume contest and a live broadcast from 96.3 KKLZ’s morning team. Guests that show up in costume receive a certificate for a free giant buttermilk pancake to be used that day or on another visit. The morning show team, Jim, Mike and Charly, will determine the best costume and the winner will receive a $100 Hash House gift certificate.

During the KKLZ broadcast, restaurant patrons who mention the “KKLZ breakfast deal” can purchase one breakfast menu item and get the second of equal or lesser value for only 96 cents.
