Fremont Street Experience takes Las Vegas back 40 years this summer with the “Summer of ’69: Vegas or Bust” festival and concert series. The summer-long celebration of the year 1969 begins Memorial Day weekend and runs through Labor Day weekend. The weekend will be highlighted by free concerts by The Guess Who on Saturday, May 23 and by Blood, Sweat & Tears on Sunday, May 24.

“Memorial Day Weekend: Celebrate & Remember” brings a military tribute to Fremont Street Experience. The event begins Saturday, May 23 and goes through Monday, May 25 and will honor past and current members of the military who have served the United States. Special guest performers include The Guess Who on Saturday, May 23 and Blood, Sweat & Tears on Sunday, May 24. The event schedule is as follows:

Grace Slick And Friends Visit The Art Of Music Gallery At The Mirage On Memorial Day Weekend 2009

Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane will make a rare appearance displaying and dedicating her artwork at the Art of Music Gallery at The Mirage Hotel and Casino. She will introduce pieces in the Wonderland series including an exclusive piece designed for the Art of Music’s event “The White Rabbit’s Tea.” Other pieces that will be on display are portraits of fellow rockers such as Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, Eric Clapton and Jerry Garcia as well as scenes of Woodstock.

 Grace known for her lead vocals and writing abilities with such noted rock bands as Jefferson Airplane, Jefferson Starship and Starship from the 60’s through the 90’s.

The El Cortez Hotel and Casino hosts talented rhythm guitarist Huck Daniels as he brings his weekly celebrity Jam Session to the property every Monday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Daniels performs inside the El Cortez’s Fiesta Room, the property’s newly renovated banquet center. The Jam Session features Daniels and his six-member jam band along with occasional appearances by other famous musicians. Daniels’ specialty is a mix of genres including R&B, Motown, classic rock and roll, and country. The celebrity Jam Session is a free weekly event at the El Cortez with a two drink minimum. The Hoop Hall Experience Gets In The Zone With New York Knicks Veteran Jerome Williams

Red Rock Resort And Smooth Jazz 105.7 The Oasis Present Free Jazz Fridays

Red Rock Resort is celebrating summer by bringing the great sounds of
jazz by popular local and regional performers to one of the hippest
summer hot spots in town, The Sandbar. The free poolside summer jazz
series begins on June 5 at the outdoor poolside venue at Red Rock
Resort. Patrons are invited to enjoy jazz music by the pool every Friday
from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The shows are 21 years and older and have no cover.

The Sandbar at Red Rock Resort is the ideal spot to relax and listen to
